Over the Christmas holiday and in the middle of our Illinois visit, Neil's hometown received all of the prescribed ten inches of snow.. and it was wonderful. The snow fell soft and not in biting cold weather, but during a winter afternoon mild enough to brave it coatless - for a good five minutes or so - when we first realized the magic that was happening outside. Later in the day, all four of us suited up in snow pants and heavy layers, filled a thermos with mulled wine, and ran around in search of snow drifts four feet high.
Bloom loves snow but would prefer it to not cover her four little legs.
Back at it in Nashville, keeping our Christmas tree out as long as possible. Hope you all are easily swinging back into normal lives and busy schedules.
