ingrid starnes summer 2013
Girly shapes and patterns haven't inspired me as much lately. I'm sort of sick of floral prints right now - I get it, flowers mean spring, but there has got to be a more original way to symbolize the return of warm weather.
Enter Ingrid Starnes' summer 2013/2014 collection, and it brings it all back for me. Well done 40s-era silhouettes and romantic sheer florals, sculpted shoulders, and the best black illusion dress I've ever seen (above), a successful homage to art deco meets modern (unlike that one film with that overrated actor). If anything can get me into feminine styles this summer, it is this comfortable-yet-elegant collection.
