It's been a month since Neil and I moved to Savannah. I've loved getting out every day and exploring its old streets, and still there is so much more to see.
When we researched Savannah life, Neil and I were impressed by all the towns, islands, and parks we wanted to visit along the east coast - and how they're all within a couple hours of home. Just recently we visited Bluffton, South Carolina, a small low country town with a complicated past, and up next is a trip to Charleston this month and a Cumberland Island camping trip for our anniversary in early November. More spots to visit (near and far).. Wormsloe Plantation, Skidaway Island State Park, Beaufort.
The dress on the left is an Auraria find - it is unique and comfortable and I received it less than a week ago and I've already worn it out three times. The drape in the skirt adds an interesting shape that is elegant but also strange and modern, and the abstract print is perfect.
RedEnvelope generously sent me this bamboo bath caddy a couple weeks back - perfect timing, because our old Savannah apartment has a bathroom with original tiling that I love, and I've had a lot of required reading of late. I'm currently taking a short story writing class and the teacher suggested reading plays when learning to write works of short fiction. Neil picked me up this copy of Amadeus when we were at the Brooklyn Flea last fall, and I've (shamefully) never read it before now.
