Hand dyed silk blouse, suede skirt, wool hat, tapestry bag - vintage
Leather ankle boots - Madewell
Super opaque tights - American Apparel
Can't believe it - Christmas is a week and a day away. After a quick weekend trip to Atlanta, Neil and I are back in town, just trying to catch up with all the last-minute gift shopping and cleaning for company over the next few days.
Nearly an all-vintage outfit today with a suede wrap skirt and oversized carpet bag from the 1970s, an early 90s silk blouse from my sister that I dip dyed, and a wool hat bought at a vintage store in Savannah. The weather in Nashville hasn't been soliciting winter coats just yet, so I'm still going coat-less or wearing a lightweight leather jacket from H&M quite a bit. No white Christmas for the southern states.
My Christmas present to myself this year is a handmade coat that I'm sewing from a 1920s pattern I shared last month.. currently in the process of making it out of gray wool and black velvet. I'll post it online soon, as I'm sure we'll be unearthing our winter coats again when we visit Neil's family in Illinois for the holidays. Happy Monday!
