blooming leopold spring/summer 2013
Debuting today! The Blooming Leopold Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Photographed by Drew Tyndell, stylist Rhiannon Tyndell, and modeled by Maya Mansour.
This season, inspired by the muted colors and folkish costume patterns of old Japanese film, was another experiment in dyeing and creating loose-fitting but structured, subtly feminine shapes. Nearly every garment in the collection is hand dyed, either through traditional shibori dye methods or old-fashioned immersion dyeing, using natural dyes like indigo and onion skins.
Linen jumpsuits, two-piece bamboo rayon coordinates, a maxi dress in kumo shibori, tie tanks - each piece is unique. All will be available in the shop tomorrow evening (with the exception of the indigo cocoon dress, which has already sold).
Thanks to Drew, Rhi, and Maya for a wonderful shoot!
